Copley Township will be holding its annual Tire & Used Oil Collection Day on Saturday, October 2, 2010, from 9 am to 3 pm at 3770 Copley Road (by the historic Depot) for Copley Residents Only.  In addition to collecting used tires and oil, the service has been expanded to include E-Waste such as old or broken electronic items (ink jets, digital cameras, iPods, MP3 players, cell phones, computers, computer monitors, TV's, and any small electronics with a cord).  No appliances of any kind accepted.  There is a $5 charge to drop off computer monitors and a $10 charge for any TV.  Cash or checks ONLY will be accepted and must be paid upon drop-off.  Checks to be made out to "Cell Phones for Cancer, LLC".  There is no charge to dispose of any of the other items.  This year residents may also dispose of used batteries.  Batteries such as car, motocycle, tractor batteries and any rechargeable or lithium batteries are accepted.  No household alkaline batteries such as AA, AAA, C, D, 9-volt - those can be disposed of with your regular trash since they don't harm the environment.

Proof of residency required to drop off items such as driver's license, state ID or a utility bill.
