Copley Township Trustees wouldl like to thank all the volunteers that came out on Saturday morning for the first "Sweep The Streets" in Copley Township. There were many, many bags of trash collected and everyone enjoyed a hot dog lunch at noon thanks to the generosity of Shislers Cheese House who donated lunch for all the volunteers, and the businesses of Sawmill Run that contributed financial support, coupons and gifts for all the volunteers! We would also like to thank the Copley CERT Team and Girl Scout Troop 411, along with all the residents that volunteered their time to this cause. Thank You Copley Township...You are Awesome!!!!
Copley Towship Officials & the HUB Community Center are sponsoring an Opioid Awareness discussion, May 3, 2017 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the HUB Community Center, 3676 Community Land, just off Cleveland-Massillon Road.
Opioid addiction is becoming an epidemic in American. Come join us on May 3rd for the film Chasing the Dragon: The Life of an Opiate Addict, produced by the FBI and DEA, followed by a panel discussion on opioid use and abuse.
The panel will be comprised of a high school student, a person with an addiction, parent of a recovering addict, police and fire personnel, a drug treatment professional, and a school administrator.
AKRON - Summit County Public Health would like to remind Summit County residents to protect themselves during spring break travel to areas with active Zika virus transmission.
