Board of Trustees Purchase Copley Community Center

*** FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ***

The Copley Board of Trustees has purchased the property at 1278 Sunset Drive, known as the
Copley Community Center and owned by the Copley Community Fund, Inc., located adjacent to
the Copley Police Station. The building and property consists of four parcels totaling 5.77 acres
for the purchase price of $400,000. The property will transfer to the Copley Township Board
of Trustees on January 1, 2009.

Over the next couple months, the Township Trustees will be evaluating the facilities and
property to determine the best use for the Township. The Trustees look forward to working with
the Community Fund and VFW to ensure a smooth transition of this property.

Land Use Plan Public Meetings

JULY 29, 2008
 
The Land Use Committee for Copley Township will be discussing the proposed Comprehensive Land Use Plan in the community during the month of August. The Committee hopes that by taking the Plan to the residents, they will receive important input to help define the future of Copley Township.
 
 
 
 
The Committee will be at the following locations to discuss the proposed Land Use Plan. All locations are open to the public. Please feel free to attend any of the session.
 
 
 
 
 
August 2 - Copley Community Heritage Day from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Copley High School. Look for the Township's booth.
 
 
 
 
 
August 13 - Sumner on Ridgewood, 970 Sumner Parkway, 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Event to be held in the main dining room. Light refreshment will be served. This event is open to all residents of Copley.
 
 
 
 
 
Sumner on Ridgewood is a not-for-profit organization committed to meeting the changing
the adult population by providing superior healthcare and residential services that promote independence and wellness.
 
 
 
 
 
August 27 - Heritage Woods Club House, 4450 Hollythorn Drive, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
 
The Land Use Consultants, as well as several committee members, will be on hand to answer questions. Please go to the Township's website at www.copley.oh.us for a complete copy of the proposed Land Use Plan. If you prefer a shorter version, please review the Executive Summary document.
