Engineering, design and architectural firm CESO Inc. has moved its Akron office to accommodate growth, according to a Monday, March 19, news release.

The office, which currently employs 42, has moved from Springside Drive to 175 Montrose West Ave., in a newly designed leased space of about 10,000 square feet, a spokeswoman said.

CESO's headquarters are in Dayton. The company has had a presence in Akron for about six years and prior to that in Canton, she said. The firm also has sites in Columbus; Pittsburgh; Nashville; Orlando; Bentonville, Ark; Parkersburg, W.V.; and Lansing, Mich.

"We believe the new (Akron) space offers a collaborative environment for the expansive set of services we now offer," the spokeswoman said in an email. "Additionally, it allows room for our team's anticipated continued growth with flexibility for future expansion to 70 associates."

CESO has added three new hires to the Akron office in the past few months, she said, and anticipates more.

"I believe this move represents our continued commitment to current and future customers and employees as it supports the expansion of our services and expertise" said CESO president Steve Olson in the release.

CESO, formed in 1987, provides of an array of services including survey, environmental, civil engineering, branding, architectural and interior design to clients throughout the United States.
