[ARCHIVED] Farmer's Market, Vintage Baseball Game and Chalk Art at the Park - September 9

Let’s go out to the Ballgame - September 9th, 2018, 3:00pm

Come on down to Copley Community Park and watch a Vintage Baseball Game between the Akron Black Stockings and the Canal Fulton Mules! Thirteen costumed players, a bat boy, a scorekeeper and an umpire play ball on an all-grass field with minimal gear – no gloves (players catch the ball with their bare hands), a slightly larger, softer ball than what is used today and a thin bat. The baseball club was organized in 1995 “to remind people of what was important about the game of baseball – fun, entertainment and gentlemanly competition”. Step back in time and watch a little bit of American history!

There will also be a Farmers Market from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm, a Corn Hole Tournament and Chalk Art at the Park starting at 1:00 p.m.
