Memorial Day, May 31, 2021, 11:00 AM, marks the 89th consecutive Memorial Day Ceremonies at the Copley Veterans' Cemetery since the American Legion Frank Bender Post 473 was chartered in 1933. This year there will be NO PARADE and masks and social distancing are required.
The ceremonies will include "Flanders Fields" by Celtic Eagle Pipe Band Drum Major Alec Brown, "Pledge of Allegiance" by Kathi Fundak Corathers, the Copley American Legion Auxiliary, "My Name Is Old Glory" by USN Petty Officer 1st Class (ret) Joe Grieco, Ellet JrNavy ROTC, musical selections will be presented by Lee Volkov of LV Sound. Public Parking is available at the Depot and Copley Service Department area, just west of the Cemetery. There is no public parking in the cemetery and Parking at Kids' Academy is for participants ONLY. In case of inclement weather, ceremonies will be held at the Copley-Fairlawn Middle School Gym, 1531 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd at 11:00 AM.
