SCPH Will Offer Pfizer Booster Vaccinations Summit County Public Health by Appointment Only
[Akron, OH] – Summit County Public Health will offer drive thru clinics for Pfizer booster
vaccinations every Wednesday and Friday through October 15th at 1867 W. Market St. Akron,
Ohio 43313. The Pfizer booster vaccine will be offered on Wednesdays from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
and Pfizer will be offered Fridays from 9:00 pm – 3:00 pm. We will also offer all three vaccines
for first and second dose vaccinations at the drive thru clinics while supplies last. Appointments
are necessary for the Wednesday and Friday clinics; walk ins will not be accepted. Masks
are required at all SCPH vaccination clinics. Please visit http://gettheshot.coronavirus.ohio.gov/
to make an appointment.
Based on CDC guidance SCPH will be offering Pfizer booster doses 6 months after the date of
the second vaccination for the following individuals: Ages 65 and older, and Long Term Care Facility Residents
Ages 50-64 with underlying medical conditions
Ages 18-64 with certain underlying medical conditions
People ages18-64 who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission
because of occupational or institutional setting.

SCPH encourages those residents who are both vaccinated and unvaccinated to continue to
engage in safe and effective behaviors to reduce the spread of COVID-19:
Stay home if you’re sick, even with mild symptoms
Be mindful in your interactions with others. Limit your chances of exposure by
maintaining social distancing of at least six feet from non-household members
Wear a mask in public
Follow good hygiene standards:
Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
Use hand sanitizer frequently
Avoid touching your face
Cover coughs and sneezes
