One of the trees the Township will be planting at Copley Community Park on Saturday, April 30, from 11-2 pm is a Brandywine Maple.
The Brandywine Maple is a stunning shade tree. Not only is the breathtaking fall color a fantastic feature, you'll also love the pretty shape. With limbs held upright, the canopy gradually develops into a rounded oval. Small red blossoms steal the show in early spring even before the red-tinged green leaves emerge. These maple leaves mature to solid green before turning a bold crimson red in fall.
Along with planting a few much-needed shade trees, we will be offering a mulching project and fun activities. If you would like to volunteer for this day, please let us know. Saturday 11 am to 2 pm, April 30.
