MAINTENANCE & REVITALIZATION INSPECTION PROGRAM

Copley Township regulates zoning and property compliance through the Zoning Resolution and Property Maintenance Code. In order to enforce these codes, staff evaluate projects prior to and after permitted and respond to nuisance reports as submitted by the public or through field observations.

The Maintenance & Revitalization Inspection Program is designed to provide for a non-biased, systematic approach to improving and maintaining the overall conditions of the Township required for ensuring the health, safety and welfare of our community. The plan calls for the department to inspect one quadrant of the Township yearly with the entire Township being covered every four years. All inspections will be from the street; inspectors will not enter private property. Inspection of the first quadrant will begin in August 2019. Staff will continue to investigate nuisance reports submitted by the public at any time and in any quadrant throughout the Township.
